Now, as a independent artist I know for a fact, these days, you do not need a record label. Some people seem to think so but here are few reasons why you don't.
- The internet is a wide range of networks that connects you directly to your fan base...why let someone speak for you when you can speak to that person directly.
- Yeah it's more work for you lazy ass rappers, but the rewards are much greater. you keep your $$$.. you have to pay your taxes...but you keep your money you make
- It takes a long time....true.... but you will forever be grateful for the sacrifice you made when you can say that you did it for yourself and kept all the spoils.
Whether you believe it or not...this is the way the record industry is going...the independent is growing in power day by day... you see what Kid Cudi just did by leaving the major label and starting his own company.
Jay-Z had the right idea back in 1996! take notes.
